PERSONAL ON-SITE CONSULTING
You will benefit enormously from personal on-site consulting from Brad Pattison or one of his management team
members to help you set up your business and teach you the fundamentals of dog handling, safety and behaviour that are essential for operating a successful Dog Day Care. Brad's standard
consulting fee is $80 per hour (excluding expenses), making this training of exceptional value.
This training is of excellent quality and cannot be found anywhere else in North America. It will instill confidence in you as a Dog Day Care owner, that you are prepared to handle numerous dogs safely and effectively and in your customers, that you are properly equipped and trained to care for their dogs.
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT GUIDE
This comprehensive reference manual contains valuable information on: what to look for in a location; the ideal floor plan; the supplies & equipment you'll need to get started; cash flow projections; the "how -to's of leash handling multiple dogs (with photographs) safely and effectively; maintaining control and alpha-positioning; important safety rules; how to advertise
and attract the media, provide superior customer service, build customer loyalty and utilize your new skills to enjoy your new career!
EMPLOYEE TRAINING MANUAL
Your choice of staff is critical, because caring for potentially 30 - 40 dogs or more, requires a lot of responsibility and patience. In fact, their competence and professionalism reflect directly on you and your business. Depending on how large you would like your day care to grow, you may end up taking on extra help. Although most people could feasibly handle 15 dogs by themselves, more than 15 requires an additional staff member. If utilized properly, the employee training manual can save you valuable time and assist you in choosing and training the right staff to help you manage and grow your business.
SAFETY AND FIRST AID HANDBOOK
Along with a portable fanny pack of emergency first aid items, a reference manual for first aid is also included in your package. This detailed and necessary tool is important to have on hand. Let's face it - when you have a pack of dogs playing all day, nips and scratches frequently happen, meaning you need to be prepared with the basics.
The manual offers advice on a variety of subjects including:
- Basic preventative medicine such as vaccinations, parasites and nutrition
- Checking vital signs such as temperature, pulse and respiration
- Dressing cuts and wounds; slowing bleeding
- Treatments for poisoning and ingestion of foreign objects

LEASHES AND COLLARS
As a new Dog Day Care owner, we start you off on the right foot by providing you with top quality collars and matching leashes in a variety of sizes. As having the right equipment can mean the difference between maintaining control or risking yours and their safety, only dogs wearing these special humane collars are allowed into Yuppy Puppy affiliated Dog Day Cares. You'll need a supply on hand to sell to clients, as they quickly become popular when their effectiveness is demonstrated. Order forms will be supplied within the package, enabling you to order additional
supplies in the future at wholesale prices directly from the manufacturer.
